BarStaffAcademy respects your privacy. Below you can read which personal data we process, why, on what legal basis, how long we keep it and which parties help us.
Who is responsible

What data we process
Free mini-course
Your first name and email address, to send you the 5 emails of the mini-course. Legal basis: your consent. Retention: until you unsubscribe. You can do that at any time via the link at the bottom of every email.
Contact form and email
Your name, email address, the name of your venue (optional) and your message, to answer your question. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering questions, or taking steps before entering into a contract. Retention: up to 12 months after the matter is closed.
Purchasing the toolkit
Your name, email address, any company and VAT details and the data needed for payment. Ordering and payment run through Payhip. We do not see full payment card details. Legal basis: performance of the contract and our legal bookkeeping obligations. Retention: invoices and accounts for 7 years, in line with Dutch tax retention rules.
Website statistics
We measure website visits with Plausible Analytics. The service works without cookies and does not store personally identifiable data of visitors. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the site. The statistics are not linked to your email address or purchase.
Processors
These parties process data on our behalf:
- Payhip: web shop, payment, delivery of the downloads and invoices.
- SendFox: sending the emails of the mini-course.
- Web3Forms: forwarding messages from the contact form to our mailbox.
- Plausible Analytics: website statistics.
- Our hosting provider: hosting the website. It may keep technical log files (such as IP addresses) temporarily for security and fault handling.
Data processing terms apply to these parties. Some of them are established or process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United Kingdom or the United States. In that case we rely on an adequacy decision or on standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
On our own pages we do not use tracking or marketing cookies, and our statistics work without cookies. That is why we do not show a cookie banner. We load our fonts from our own server, so your IP address is not sent to Google for that. The sign-up form for the mini-course is loaded from SendFox and the purchase takes place on the Payhip site. Those services may set functional cookies. See their privacy statements for details.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port and object. You can withdraw consent at any time. For requests, email contact@barstaffacademy.com and we will respond within one month. If we cannot resolve it, you can lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, in the Netherlands the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
We update this policy when our way of working changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
